I started writing because like the John Lee Hooker song said, "It in him and it got to come out." The authors who have influenced me are too numerous to mention, but I tend to like honest, straightforward "slice of life" writing with an undercurrent of humor and/or irony. I've written approximately 50 short stories, some of which have appeared in little literary magazines, and one yet-to-be-published novel.
