Born in the historic cathedral town of Lincoln, England in 1955 my family moved across the Pennines to Oldham, Lancashire in 1962. Dramatically different from the flat agricultural landscape of Lincolnshire, Oldham, featured mill chimneys dotting the horizon. It was in this industrial setting of cotton mills and rugged Pennine hills that I grew up. Early influences included comic books - both British and American. Fleetway, IPC, D.C.
