Dennis Cone is five generations from Orlando. In 1982 Dennis quit an $80,000/yr sales profession to be President of the Non-Profit Jr. Golf Association of Central Florida as a volunteer.
His brother had just committed suicide after serving 26 over two years in Viet Nam and he wanted to be home and a good father unlike what he was delivered. He left that position after establishing the first Jr. Golf endowment scholarship program with PGA TOUR player Donnie Hammond in 1989 and they raised over $20,000 to start the fund.
