Arlene Webster always had a love for writing. Her first published short story was for the Lutheran Magazine in June, 1965 entitled, Step Lightly, You Walk on Wonder. A second short story, In Defense of Christmas Cards, was published in December, 1967. Arlene began working as a columnist for the Destin Log in 1981. Her Life Is column ran for almost twelve years with nearly 600 columns. She also wrote feature articles and contributed to a food column for the paper.
