I am a business consultant and have been writing fiction, on and off, for about three years. Prior to then I wrote business articles and had a monthly column in a European trade magazine. I like writing short stories and one reviewer likened my collection to Poe and O. Henry (praise indeed!). I cannot say that I was particularly influenced by either gentleman although I have read and enjoyed their work. I like stories with twists and perhaps that is what draws the comparison.
I start and end all of my stories with the same words which, I think, adds to the enjoyment for a reader.
