Mary Epps is the youngest child of six children. She was born Mary Ann Auston in Newport News, VA. She graduated from Menchville high school and soon after married her high school sweetheart. That marriage ended after 20 years and to that union two children were born, Fernandez and Destyni Lassiter. Married went to college and earned degrees in education and nursing.
