I grew up through the second world war years, and then the Korean war. Those were, like most times in most peoples lives, both good and bad times. Like most young boys there were many things I wanted, but during those times much of what I wanted was unaffordable.
My parents were both working to make the best life possible for us, you know, clothing, food, rent or mortgage. They even splurged one year and bought one more...
