I've been married for thirty years, have no children except for a very spoiled basset hound.  I started writing as soon as my mother gave me a pencil and paper. Got the bug to do it for attention in sixth grade.  Got serious about it when Hurricane Katrina took my safe world and tossed it into the Gulf.  It is my sanity, my peace of mind, my third most imporatant thing in my life. 1.
