John Cathcart served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1998 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his years as an AF pilot, he piloted many aircraft (including the venerable B-52 and F-111 aircraft). He went on to serve as a military attaché in Colombia and Venezuela.
