I've roughed it long enough now
My loneliness is over
I'm acting like a silly child
I run and smell the clover
I know that clouds are beautiful
I've soared among a few
I see another world right now
And it's all because of you
The vastness of a cobalt sky
While lover's fly above
It's wonderful to spread your heart
When you put a face on love.
It's a whole new world of butterflies
Dancing all inside
It's giggles under cotton sheets
A slow erotic ride
It's smiles so wide they break your face
It's waiting for that shove
Then gently giving back a push
When you put a face on love.
Colors seem to be enhanced
While fingers feel like satin
When you strive for eloquence
It sounds just like Pig Latin
Emotions are as raw as nerves
They handstand end-to-end
You tear at ... even happiness
As new rhythms start to spin
Your eyes shoot sparks like bullets
Just like lightening bugs
Your days bloom like new flowers
When you put a face on love.
ahhh Susan you describe it so well I'm feelin it! You have to know the grandest feeling to tell it like this! A delightful uplifting poem that stirs all the senses!
Makes me giggle!! Yes indeedy, Susan, could go suck a HUGE gobstopper and blow massive bubble-gum bubbles on the back of this one. Eyes shooting sparks like bullets and emotions as raw as nerves handstanding end-to-end makes me feel 12 and a half again. Absolutely, the world revolves around love, SSusan, but unfortunately running a very close sdecond is hate, and as we all know, there isn't a whits difference between love and hate. Sorry to be so negative this a.m., hope it'll pass as the day progresses.
A great write that captures your feelings and emitions of new love so well it's like your heart is opened up on the page. Go girl, enjoy every minute of love.
