Tho' U're far away, I am here to stay;
U are not a-lone, I am here with you,

Poem Artwork

melodious kisses moist like dew

are vanquished in the mists where you

and i once breathed the thought of us

committing to be serious

i feel your touch, but you are gone

still hearing songs you've ne'er sung

a promise ring that mimick'd hope

is now the crutch that helps me cope

with changes that we never planned

as tiny timelines grace my hands;

today i leave forget-me-nots

around the stone that marks the spot

that now is graced with memories fond

preparing to meet you in clouds beyond

etherial obstacles shoved us apart

as petals of love lost are stripped

from my heart;

melodious kisses moist like dew

are vanquished in the mists where you

and i were always one in heart

oh pray our spirits no way part

A very touching and well-crafted poem, C. I like the flow, and its imagery makes me think that one day I may come to such a place of sweetness mixed with grief. That's how real you've made it.

I was tired when I came here and read the summary lines first by MK, and I as thinking, "Hmm. This sounds so familiar. Just like that Michael Jackson song." LOL. Duh! Okay, enough about my senility.

This is an eloquent tribute to a love that you will meet again. Shows a lot of devotion. We never plan for the losses of loved ones, do we? Anyway, a beautifully written poem is what you have here and you are never alone when you have such wonderful memories.

Yeh...very sad Cynth'ya...but life is a great cycle..and everything has its time and season...before returning to the grand mansion in the sky ...

Different for you. I like it. It shows a universal poetic quality. It is sad, but then, that's life. It isn't always up-beat, some times it is melancholic. Good job, Cynth'ya.
