STEP I
take a
long
deep
)))brEAth(((
[hold it]
[HOLD HARD]
til your past
turns around and
begs for more air
STEP II
take its nonsense
no more. . .
just feel free
STEP III
dis-Rupture
the Peace
and kick grandly
UP-stream
with/out
engrav'd
first class
government postage
for your mission
is waterproof'd
STEP IV
and when you feel
the chill of regret
kick even more wildly
like the champion
bullfrog
in the crocodile's
inner jaw, no longer
the castaway with
torch in hand, waving
to ships that
crash'd because they fail'd
to heed your light
STEP OVER
do not fear the
future of the waterfall
but instead. . .
retrace its abandon'd
traxx to paradise lost,
bring fool's gold
cloth'd in a
plain brown wrapper
as an ice offering
with the message:
"hey? remember
me?"
