love is patient, forgiving

the old teachings say,

yet the nuance of nonsense

makes some throw love away--

"love is kind and long suffering"

say the ancients of old

but a butt-headed attitude

drop kicks passion stone cold--

love ain't jealous nor boastful,

won't demand its own way

yet when love shuts its ears

patience withers away--

love is more than a vow,

more than orgasmic kisses,

for without the respect,

love fulfills no ones wishes.
