This one's for my Sistah Janet P. or others who are on the entry stages of understanding politics. (As a former non-partisan candidate myself, and as a freelance Public Relations person, interpreting for others comes with the territory) and is a pleasure: Here We Go!:
First two lines represent political leaders opinion of the voter
Second two lines are easy: Just recall any political, financial, or pharmaceutical tv news conference about anything that "slipped" (as in slippery soap) thru the cracks and had to be "cleaned up."
Third pair of lines go back to the viewer/listener
Final pair of lines: These were written to remind a reader that, as the old saying goes, "only the squeaky wheel gets the grease." If voters do not speak up 365 days a year, we're allowing the soap of the media to continue stinging our eyes. And when the soap of flambouyant speech gets in our eyes, we are incapable of seeing what is REALLY going on (like editions and deletions to government documents to hide the truth.)

No S***, Cynth'ya, I couldn't agree with you more. We are only important either collectivly or when we are needed individually. After that, we are more of and annoyance than an asset.

I think that they ignore all of us or assume that they know us. Kind of pisses you off don't it when they do that me I would like to write a speech for them Campaign promise. I can do absolutely nothing about everything. Which is what they do.
