Note: Blog of 2/5/05 journals how my husband and I are empowering ourselves to beating this disease as we seek the best method of treatment for his recovery. See poem "groanings" (see it in "Poetry" link just to your left) about my between-the-eyes reaction to the news from his diagnosis.

See matching blog for this haiku called Making Changes regarding my husband's prostate cancer battle. It's bi-lateral.

AUTHOR'S NOTATION: Those of you who know anything about PSA and Gleason scores, his biopsy tested PSA 24.9; Total Gleason score is 8. (Aggressive is 10.)

Lord knows it ain't easy to change a red meat sugar-loving, soda pop worshipping man like mine!

Cynth'ya, I'm just getting to this. My prayers are with you always. Let me know if there's anything at all I can do. I know you're a strong woman. What a great pic of you two. With my own illness, I'll tell you by focusing more on a Mediterranean diet and ancient foods, the switch is not as hard. I've not been following as I should in the last few weeks with so much going on, but I'll get back on track. ;-) On to read more of your stuff now.

Kudo's! My best friends husband chose the homeopathy/health
through diet/exercise/and some pills...He's been at it for 4 years now with low psa readings,etc. I hope and pray you will beat it too. By the looks of you the attitude,faith ,etc you sure are doing all you can, and I applaud you both, Cynth'ya, I'll keep you in prayer! Blessings to you both!...eileen
