. . . And tell me, just what kind of insurance card is NOT in YOUR wallet?

2 night
the other me
feels like writin' out
poundin' out somethin'
that ain't necessarily
the sweetest of that
genre called
Poetry
2 night
i feel like
the other me
is startin' to
unravel with the
trials and the
turmoil that
keeps wanting to
erupt from deep down
beyond the logic
hating the fact that
there are people whose
very existence depends
on taking advantage
of my wits and their
bottom lines tied to
philosophical loose ends
it's those people who
tell me that healing
for the body, mind and
spirit can't possibly
be created as one unit,
so when it comes to
full healing they
just can't admit it
so they go thru the lists
of all whom a catastrophy
has issued a call, doing
all in their power with
unmitigated gall
filling my ears with
prophecy based on the profit of
man-made science,
making sport of
my fears,
(but see that ain't all,
. . .y'all)
know what's worse?
there ain't nothin' more desperate
than making money from those
who have nothing
but moth-eaten holes
in the linings
of our national
pimpin' for coverage
death insurance purse
sittin' in their first
line of offence in
emergency room corridors
where the so-called professionals
are full of everything but
compassion and common sense,
and their bosses,
flippin' you off while
countin' mad-cash while the rest of us
rot in the poor house
these so-called caring people
like albatrosses on beaches,
who's lips spew sanguine fear
like bits of dried up blood
found stuck to the lips of
parasitic leeches only talk
about protection from major ills
don't they know that
thug insurance makes more stress
that only kills,
another capitalistic system
digging yet another ditch
to collect on questionable
hospitalization bills?
in a country so wealthy
where politics calls the shots,
why is there such a great divide
between those of us who have,
and those who have not?
so. . . 2 night
the other me
feels like writin' out
poundin' out somethin'
against the brain of
a falsely elected
congressional flunky
that ain't necessarily
the sweetest of letters,
but God in heaven knows,
without change in the health law,
things will never get better.

Author's Note, quoted from the highlighted link below:
"Over $1.6 trillion is spent on health care annually, over 13% of our Gross Domestic Product. Nevertheless, we remain the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee health care for all of our brothers and sisters...."
United We Stand. . . what about the ones who are falling?
