When the time of year mark’d One
We revised Karma Sutra twenty-fore-play-seven
In white-hot heat
unmatch’d by your rising sun

After marking years of Ten
Our once waxed hot emotions
Are rusted thru like tin

After years that number’d Twenty
We stopped dreaming of Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Since that requir’d more time and money

My love oh my love
When the decades number’d Three
You stop’d thinking of how special we were,
And me? I just gave up the beauty in me

My love oh my love
As we shuffle past year Forty
The utterance of sweet pillow talk
Is now a fictional story

My love oh my love
So many think it’s nifty
To put up with one another’s old ways
When the cake in the freezer turns Fifty
