Poem Artwork

just what is it you want to figure out about me?
is it my history, my present, what you think might be
part of the future in me?

or. . .

just what is it you want to figure out about me?
is it my history, my present, what you think might be
part of the future in me?

or. . .

are you staring because of some unmet need,
maybe a ubiquitous, soliciting repeat visitor
someone lost in visitation of unspoken token fantasy?

. . . then again, you do seem to be
always looking, never speaking,
brave enough to expose your silent interest
but never the affairs of your heart. . .
why should i be the one you blame
for your brand of habitual fear?

Well I was a gazer once and I tell you that it will definitely get you nowhere. I have this saying nothing comes to a dreamer but a dream and i think this poems illustrates that saying perfectly. If you want something whether it be love, purpose, or a goal you have to stop looking and get to walking it out! I definitely enjoyed your piece. Continue to keep the faith and keep doing your thang sista!

What are they thinking? Why aren't they brave enough to find out who we are by talking to us? Why aren't they compassionate to see if we need anything? You capture what the disabled go through, as well as people of color...tears in these lines and in my eyes, Cynth'ya: well done. Thank you.

It is always a bit unsettling to have someone staring at us and not letting us know what it is that is on their mind. Nice work!!
Take care,
Sherry

Ah, a thoughtful, solemn, solitary conversation with one's self about another. We can never know of what someone is actually thinking when they are staring.... gazing.... ogling?...., can we??
Well, done, Cynth'ya.

Peace. Joyce
