Powerful write, Cynth'ya! Very interesting! True - they should learn and be better people. But likewise, parents have a duty too. They should listen to and support their kids, not impose on them. A well-written piece!

Ah-hah! Cynth'ya, I see you have been checking back into your box of golden memories to recall how we once thought we would change the world and how in reality we grew into our parents. The kids will ultimately do the same, but the trials and tribulations of seeing them through to adulthood can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Thanks for the reminder!
