Poem Artwork

feelin' lonely
more times
than i
want to admit,

at times i have doubts
that say:

'give up, just quit!'

see nobody cares if you
soar to
great heights,

success ain't that easy,
why lose sleep at night
?

yes, sometimes my eyes
are so thick with oppression
that they blind me from seeking
the Light of my mission;
so weary so heavy so weak
and so hurt in my heart that
i almost stop doing my work;

but when looking around at
the ones in dispair i
rebound to my post most
refresh'd with a dare;

'Keep eyes fix'd on your Prize'

i recall in my brain from
the history grand that got
trampled in shame;

for me
push comes to shovin'
this passion i'm
lovin'

i'll readily
shoulder my
pain for the
gain

Yep, the pain is well worth the gain, Cynth'ya. Maintaining focus can become difficult at times, but the strong do survive. The road to enlightenment is long and difficult. Hang in there and I know you will reach your destiny.
Take care,
Sherry

Powerful, fiery write, sis Cynth'ya!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A soaring, majestic write, keeping your eyes on the Prize...the journey, the battle, the pain is worth it, yes. Thank you, Cynth'ya!

That's the spirit, Cynth'ya! And I love that quote in the beginning.
