Daylight Savings Time is as good as the hand that turns the clock; but no human can turn the seasons.

Poem Artwork

faces of the times
move one way, then the other
and death doesn't care;
so think on this wise:
when "Forever Time" arrives . . .
daylight won't be sav'd
as faint souls whisp away. . .

DID

Did birds wake up to sing to you?
Did heaven choose to glow?
Did raindrops fall to quench the grass?
And flowers, did they grow?

Did sunshine give its brightest rays?
And midnight when it came
The stars and moon, all galaxy
Oh did they shine the same?

It must be that they realize
That you are such a gift
That you are given as a friend
To give that special lift

It must be that they want to be
The same to you and more
To be your light with such delight
In you they want to pour

The warmth of love the cool of breeze
The rain, but just a drop
A cloud to shield from summer’s heat
The spring to help you hop

And I do want to do the same
To be the helping one
To answer when you’re calling out
Until your trouble’s done

Did birds wake up to sing to you?
Our message, do you know?
We want to tell you loud and clear
You’re loved and needed so

simply rita

Sage words, Cynth'ya. Nothing is saved at the "forever time," is it?! Only our works, good and bad, and others' memories of us will remain. I have always loved the word "whisp." (:D

Peace.

I'm just wondering how do they account for the time when one passes away right on the dot of the changing time. Do they keep the old time, or do they keep the changed time?

Same with when someone gives birth, how do they account for the time of the baby's arrival? Keep the old time, or the new time?

Your poem is making me think of all these. A thought-provoking piece.
