angel's sittin' upright
in the worship service grand
she just looks so innocent
while checkin' out "the man"

angel's smilin' in your face
pretendin' to be pious,
but if you get to know her
she's both envious and biased

angel's bed is cold and dry
there's nothin' she'd like better
than soak the bedsheets while she takes
your man to seventh heaven

angel's never late for church
she's bound to get her seat,
the one who claims you as a friend
is nothin' but a cheat

W O W, Cynth'ya, spot on!!!!!!! There's a trial going on here now, with three (four?) women who have sued a pastor for rape. The jury is currently out, been debating for days now, who knows what the verdict will be? It's been proven he's a womanizer and a cheat, but are these women out for revenge? Well done, yet again.

oooooooohhh Cynth'ya what a powerful poem on this topic! You pull no punches, and it is a scene played all the time in churches, since all of the same characteristics that are in us don't change so easily just because we're in a church. so those who have a deceiving spirit will deceive.We forget that sometimes. Excellent poem!
