Let the ruler be dethroned by the peasant; let the tongue cease to wag the dog; let the apathy be exorcised with massive action, and let all evil be vanquished by harmony.

Poem Artwork

usher forth the nation's calamity
for Release is riding bareback
on trade-winds ahead of schedule

usher forth our founts of ash-stain'd tears
for eternal jubilation shall consist
of a circumstance once unmentionable

usher forth our burdens
for Transcendental Faith
is defying grave bodies
of under-cover evidence. .  .

for understand me on this wise:
blessin's are never at the mercy of bad timing
but they are recogniz'd as signals for change
by builders who seek to bind our splinter'd thinking, so remember not the man-made sensation of the results of an sacrificial flight;

see those angels not as victims
nor see them as a reason for war,
but honor them as heaven's ambassadors
remov'd from earth for just a while
in order that those
who practice violence
may eventually see

OUR CREATOR’S
PURE LIGHT

we know all life is precious, but worth less than a dime as the time quickly flees us yet some do not mind; for to kill is to sever the passion of peace as candles lie near each memorial wreath,

-- no death connects to a fond happy season -- no war secures us, regardless of reason -- to blame for past sins stirs up evny & strife, five years have pass'd by, let's stop smothering Life.

If we believe that we must take an eye for an eye, sooner or later everyone will be blind, but I also don't believe that we should let those with the pokers continue to stab everyone's eyes out. I am certain that there must be some kind of balance but when dealing with those who hate and who believe that it is their God-given right (and duty) to destroy everyone who doesn't share their religious beliefs, I struggle with finding a common ground. It is a very difficult situation, let alone the fact that we have not yet, and may never, heal from the incidents of 9-11. Today I pray for the families of those who were lost to us and in my grief and yes, anger, I try to find it in my heart to forgive, but that forgiveness does not come. Excellent write of compassion, Cynth'ya. Thank you for taking a moment to remember the day and those whose lives were taken.
Take care,
Sherry
