we are told we should honor the dead
we believe that they died for the right
we hold on to our freedom of speech
yet why are we lied to in spite
of the fact that the innocent murder'd
who were born with the full right to life
become slaughter'd by others who hate them
and our nation can't tell wrong from right
so what is the purpose of striving
for democracy over the seas
when the hucksters of media magic
spin out falsehoods as honey from bees?
and the saddest of all is the notion
is the news trickster stirring the pot
without researching all of the entrails
before serving us frogs piping hot.

As a veteran, I have differing views. Right, wrong, no matter; last I knew, there is no draft; these men and women in uniform are only following orders (right or wrong) and choose this fight, so it doesn't come over here................still and all, a powerful, thought provoking write. I may not always agree, but then we have the freedoms to express differing viewpoints.........I don't always agree with the administration's decisions, but I do support my military and the commander-in-chief. That doesn't mean he's right, but he is in charge.....

Democracy, as all masks, hides behind it the true nature of those that cannot differentiate between freedom and servitude and where nothing is as it seems.

It's not just tricksters, but incrdible western idealists who pressume that all cultures can accommodate democracy. It certianly does not - or is not allowed to - work in a theocratic culture.
Such is life in a world of tricksters and idealists.
