Papa of Cool, showin' us a brand new bag, and the bringer of "Please Please" funky good times. . . 

still regardless of how you knew him,
his age was only reflective of his body,
his spirit keeps smiles on many faces,

his energy still puts the lubrication back into
our rust'd out sex machines, his boogies admonish us to get up off our oogies  and get back on the goodfoot of life . . .

and when he holla's "RIGHT ON RIGHT ON" it makes some of us wanna pull out our shoebox'd photos in leisure suits with butterfly collars, skin tight hot pants and

patent leather go-go boots, makes some of us want to restyle our afro-coifs and readjust our Levi bell bottoms to swing-sway-slip-slide-away,

gyrating our academic stress into the pinewood planks of the student center ballroom floor. . . and in the midst of the conflicts, never forget how he taught us how to dance.
