The Star of the David; the Star of The East; The one to whom all stars will bow at the end of time. . . make every day a day of thankfulness, for Easter is about passover. . .making a transition. . . not bunnies, eggs or cleaning up on the outside dressing to impress.

Poem Artwork

let's B-thankful for the eastern morn
that greets half-open'd eyes

let's B-thankful for the people
who have stepp'd into our lives

let's B-thankful for Christ's Holy Blood
redeeming earthling sin in this world that slaps the face of peace to offer us Peace within.

Humor me for a minute y'all, and let's reflect for a moment about all this commercialization over holidays-gone-wild: Instead of standing in lines making more money for corporate America buying things that continue to fatten our egos as well as our bodies, let's consider meditation times on a daily basis, regardless of a holiday. Prayer is THE most powerful form of giving thanks. The next most powerful in my opinion is SELFLESS GIVING! Don't expect a handout when you do something for someone. . . just do the right thing because it's the right thing to do. That's reward enough.

Next: Consider how powerful it is in our collective human spirits to thank the Great God of all the Universe for blessing you with the ability to feel. . . even if it's pain, learn how to encourage others even in your own pain because the resurrection of every negative situation is always in the giving, not the complaining. Pursue Your Happyness and everyday will be a springtime reviv'd in your life.

That way I see it (and maybe I'm not coming thru to some of you but hey, neither did Jesus Christ. . . his own folks didn't believe him but he didn't go off trippin' about it either y'all):

Positive Spiritual Renewal is not about religion. Positive Spiritual Renewal (thank you Jesus!) is about looking beyond your faults, being humble enough to express your need with those who will not tear you down, but lift you up. . . and more than anything else; realizing that if you believe that Life is in phases from eternity to eternity, not beginning to end. Don't believe in eternity? Look at your family album and see who has great-Grandpapa's ability to write, or Great Grandmama's ability to organize? Those things don't go away. . .they were put in all of us by an Eternal creator that some call by different names. The name is not the issue.

The issue is regardless of what we are taught to believe or not believe that there is a place where the evil will go, and none of us should want to go there by default. Christ revolutionized our relationship with each other and it has absolutely nothing to do with celebrating a holiday called Easter. For those who have a problem with that last statement, think outside of the religion box because not even Christ called himself a Christian. He called himself our "BROTHER." He was all about change, not settling for what he didn't like but just put up with it.

So stop trying to make people see your point and appreciate you. Their lack of appreciation should never stop you or anyone else from improve themselves, even if they have to do it all by themselves. You plus God is a majority, and the power of attraction will bring others your way who believe in what God has purposed for your life.

Now get on out there this week and find your purpose. It's been waiting for you all your life---don't keep it waiting any more.

Blessin's and Success. . . . clr

Your words here remind me of those of Mother Theresa, written on her office wall in Calcutta.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centred
Forgive them anyway

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives
Be kind anyway

If you are successful, you will win friends, some false and some true
Succeed anyway

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you
Be honest and frank anyway

What you spend your life building, someone destroys overnight
Build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous
Be happy anyway

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow
Do good anyway

Give the world your best anyway

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God
It was never between you and them anyway

Whenever I am saddened or disillusioned by the world around me, I re-read these amazing words and they remind me that I have all the God-given power, as well as the duty, to make the most of who I am and to never stop trying to reach for the next higher plane while persuing my dream. I pray that I will be all that I can be and that in the end, I will not be a dissappointment to Him and what He needed for me to accomplish here. Wonderful message, Cynth'ya!
Take care,
Sherry

What an outstanding write my dear friend...it is sad how little the children in today's society know about our dear Savior...I teach as much as I possibly can within my classroom walls, I don't teach a denomination or religion...I tell them about Jesus. After all it is a part of our history. When I teach weather to my first grade I read them the story of Noah and the ark, it is a library book in our school library after all, at Christmas I read them the story of the birth of Jesus, at Easter I tell them how he died on the cross and arose to live again...and every year I am amazed at the number of children that have heard of Him, but don't really know...they are the one's that are hungry for this knowledge. Everyday before lunch my students say grace...I had one little boy the other day said at home now his parents waited for him to say grace before they began eating, he was one of the children who knew very little about the Lord...we all have a job to do! That was the message at church last night! Write on my dear sister, you've touched me dearly with this write.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Cynth'ya,

*applause* Oh, Honey, spot on, spot on, spot ON!!! "They" are doing everything they can to remove Christ out of the picture, and what's worse, kids are the targets. Bunnies...easter eggs...Santa Claus...elves: you get the idea. Christ gets a mere mention before being buried under the hype: it's like we're killing Him all over again!!! A beautiful, appreciative poem and a thought provoking endspiece, both excellently penned.

(((HUGS))), love and God bless, Karla.

AMEN, sista, AMEN! Easter is NOT About bunnies or baby chicks or presents for the kiddies; it's about CHRIST JESUS who rose from the dead!! We need to get back to that and remember the blessings He's given to us! Thanks for sharing, my (((Friend)))! BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
