inhale. . .exhale. . .
why the very act itself. reeks of disambiguation
inhale. . . exhale. . .
there is no logic that explains it
and we who are priviledged to suck it in
tend not to appreciate the beauty of its nothingness
inhale.. . exhale. . .
a fragile are the keepers of the gaseous balance,
blends of appears as nothing special,
yet it is life itself . . .as demonstrat'd
by a cacophony of wide open'd mouths
in a chorus of obstructive sleep apnea
inhale.. exhale. . .
in a July Vegas heat with no cooling systems,
all night street beaters may feel they are
in-hell in the valley of the shadow of the strip, and life snuff'd out when the parakeet succumbs in the silent shafts of diamonds and gold, still waiting to be carried out by miners who lost their grip on the inhale from too much carbon monoxide as their lov'd ones exhale disbelief. . .crying
"Gone too soon". . .
and yet we continue to be a populus of
earth-wreckers, treating our air with
such disrespect; raping it of all its purity
inhale. . . (ahhhh). . . inhale. . .(ahhhh). ..
the very repetitous act makes a mind wonder if there will ever come a day when the powers that
steal every other natural resource make
air a Wall Street commodity, on the NASDAQ
for a price that only the weathly can afford,
and we have to put our air on layaway
depending on whether or not we are deem'd
worthy enough to borrow it. . . paid back
to the air barons with interest;
. . .or maybe, maybe perhaps we will need
a visa or a passport to breath the air
of other nations. . . lack it would kill for it,
and others taken from the womb
don't realize what they are missing
because of how we fought over the
last extinguishable resource. . . .
SO until then, claim your air,
it is yours given to you on lease,
no down payment except to treat it
with respect. . . for our air is not ours
to bombard with obscene talk,
or chemical toxins or the stench of
a world turn'd rancid. . .for one day
in the not so distant future,
our air will all return to
The Original Owner.

The Genius of Pleasant
Here is the essential ecology that takes care of the environment and of the people, the two being inseparable. A poem that teaches us to respect each other's lives and feelings as we pollute the air that we breathe and share with toxic gases as much as with toxic words and feelings.
Maybe you'd be interested in my poem "Recycle" or "No longer needed" because they are about loving our humanity and our earth. Not giving up the essential.
Very interesting work indeed.

A powerful, thought provoking verse; we are the cause of our own destruction; how dare we whine about our sicknesses, our cancers? If we haven't woken up from our (sleep apnead) induced nightmares by now, we never will. POWERFUL one, Cynth'ya, POWERFUL.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
This is a call to save the planet, and to "INHALE" justice and exhale humanity in the "air".
This poem is a true poetic accomplishment ringing the bells of good sense.
I salute You, Poet.
In admiration,

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
Those last lines says it all.
