kill...

too often it is done
to seek out vengence
all against God's will....

we should not....

kill...

too often the solution
void of truth and restitution
leaves one unfulfill'd--and
we still--like going after "Bill"
continue to

kill...

so why not pull the plug
on all the thoughts
that bring destruction
& halt all the devices that stop
life's precious
reproduction
in the name of
one's career.... and in the end
remembrance shines a light,
showing all the wrongs we once thought
right....and the guilt springs forth eternal
....makes us ill...for dead is dead
and those who bled for reasons
unbeknowst lie still...in a land
we pledge allegiance resurrects
a shameful past....re-curring
as time's hands are casting shadows
to a future grime....such is a past
that only God's grace can erase,
for wrongs that cause our spine to chill,
the lessons all each us...

thou shalt not kill.
