this relationship is like a book
that never ever
should have been penn'd
nor check'd out from the stacks of
try-&-try again...
this relationship is an experience
that qualifies me for being an
expert in the field of
"maybe". . .
"whatever". . .
& "hmmm, i guess". . .
perhaps if if there was more
to the dialogue between the sheets,
there might be more conversation
instead of contemplation, more relaxation
instead of frustration, and perhaps even
far more anticipation of a happy
never ending story. . .
but somehow when reviewing this book
of our lives that we so desperately attempt'd
to relate...well baby, i conclude there
ain't no way to renew our expiration date.

Voiceless relationships
Although the lines in italics make the outcome sound inevitable, the lines:
"if there was more to the dialogue between the sheets..." (instead of, maybe "if there had been")
make me think or at least imagine that a tiny little hope (for better or worse) still subsists.
Thought-provoking piece...
