painpeace

by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed — Read all 584 poems by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed

Whether it is physical, emotional, mental, occupational, or spiritual....ask yourself:

Have I found peace in my pain? Have I called my pain by name and am I dealing with it like a victor or a victim? Do I often throw up my hands in vain and depend on people to save me from it, or do I look to God to deliver me thru healing hands and Godly-medical knowledge and the comfort of His Holy Spirit combined? Am I praising in the midst of my pain so that the attitude of agony will not overcome my spirit? (This is a poetic summary of the workshop by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed presented at the Detroit Michigan event, "Demin & Diamonds" workshop at Cobo Center Dec. 8, 2007)with Women Entrepreneurs of America, International.

"when you know your pain is a process..." something that's true and I always try to remember that. Thanks for your words and best wishes to you.

I, too, suffer with pain dear sister Cynth'ya. Failing bodies, creative minds, aspiring spirits. Blessings and love to you and yours this holiday season gurl. You are a precious gift to this planet. Keep on being you so deliciously!

I have pain. It doesn't have me. :) Although at times, it tries...I refuse to let it. Excellent thought provoker, here, Cynth'ya! Well penned and presented.

(((HUGS))), love and Merry Christmas, Karla.
