Even old man winter has a child within

chilled-up breath
blows cloudpuffs
from pouty lips...
fingers tingling,
nosetips numbed
from sniffles

winter's sun
smooches warmth,
lets our world
pause to thaw
long enough
to revive
the old man
once again
