Poem Artwork

Dedicated to James and Marcia Prewitt

Positive gets
push'd out because we are
so used to thinking the bad,
not the good

We are told what to think,
not how to think.

We are told that we need things
now, instead of planting positive
and waiting for the harvest

We are told that nothing
can change, that life revolves
around who you know, not
what you know

We are told to settle for
what someone else
chooses to give us

But if abundance is
for you, if you believe
abundance of life
in your soul and in
your spirit is meant
for you, then who is
man or woman to
tell themselves that
you are not worthy?

You are what you speak
You are what you practice
Your body is the temple of
change so what are you
going to do about the
channels, the books,
and the one brain that
depends on you to change
for the betterment of you,
for that is freedom.

(Note from the poet: You know my brothers and sisters, it's not what you have that makes you a success, but your ability to give back with what you have. If you don't have the time to give back what you have been blessed with, what good is it?

We all have the SAME 24 hours. Who owns it?

blessin's,

You are very truthful in this well written piece. We are conditioned to believe what the world says of us as opposed to what we want to have happen. Some just give up...Thanks for this, I needed the inspiration.
