Silenced prisoners seek an exit route while slaves in control look to conceal themselves in print.

Poem Artwork

why ask for wisdom from

selectively-elected seers,

(the ones whose egos are as

bloated as their campaign speeches)

to continually be blinded by

false gods of global greed

and power to explain the results

of their transgression that

what can never be explained,

truthfully. . .

and why do accusers continually

run in repetitive circles

to catch a clue for reasons why

when the path where the oppressor jogs

is nowhere close to your neighborhood;

it is no mystery that the utterances of the season

are less audible than the blended gibberish

spoken by a bus full of prepubescent students on a

6th grade field trip who care not about protecting

the rights of no one but their own, for the

voice of the people has been thrown by

master ventriloquists who are less concerned

about the prophets of the homeland, and

more concerned about beating around the bush

where the olives protected by the

dove of peace have been

snatched off the branch

by flocks of counting crows.

Right on, Cyntha'ya. I search in vain for a voice of knowledge and reason in politics. All my search reveals is a cacophony of Dems and the vested interests of Dos already in power.
