As I read the wonderful comments and reviews that, to me, seem to be about someone inside me that is still under construction, I can say that there are a few main ingredients that will keep me forever crisp with encouragement. 4Ever celebrate creative communion.

Poem Artwork

take one part smart living (from streets and books), and one part magnetism (which is more than your looks); blend two parts "sas-SAY", (by natural birth), add a dash of complexity (to assure your own worth); Pour unlimited imagination into a huge creative vat, fold in sheer self-sufficient ('Baby' that's where it's at!); turn the heat up to "critical" (for all of your tests), if the surface should bubble, (just don't forget, "you are blessed"); when you've cooled from the heat, take your spirit upraised, coat your victories with diamonds of a shimmering glaze; those who choose to reject you will some day look to say they wish they'd stop to sample and feast from your tray; your books plays and chapters your blogs seasoned well, fill each space with aromas, each adventure done well.

This is one of the best writes I have seen on the spirit of the writer and the truth of what people say after we have made it. I have never forgotten a program I was watching where a famous writer was talking about his life. He spoke about one reader that would constantly tear his work apart. How upsetting this had been to him and it had made him so angry. A thorn in his side, Which now when he reflects back to this time in his life, he now see's it as his muse forcing him to become a better writer. I watched this knowing, this is the way I would look at those who condem my art or my writing. They are the thorns in my side that will make me a greater writer and artist :-) At the moment my thorns prefer to do it behind my back, but I am aware of them and just laugh.

We are all of the Mulligan Stew variety; societal meats, environmental veggies and genetic spices, all combined in individual fashion and simmered over a lifetime to give each of us a unique flavor of life.

I have tasted your stew and found it delights my poetic palate.

It seems to me that you have assembled all the necessary ingredients for a lively, happy, in-your-face life. We should all be so lucky.
