FIRE TIDES

 

A tremble locked by joint embrace

As sighs absorb and mate

While pairs of lips, by kisses trace

With greed....desired....tastes

 

Abandoned words....usurped by touch

Claimed by annointed cores

As spirits....souls....and bodies clutch

Shared essence sweetly poured

 

From captured spout, so softly framed

While essence smoothly blends

By fire's tide....burst flooded flames

As waves swell......and  ascend

"Abandoned words...usurped by touch".. aye, there comes a point, doesn't there?...Much fluidity of thought here, Anita, but this feels more like a swelling breaker to me that comes crashing down, swamping the senses and tasting deliciously of salt... think I'm a savoury girl, rather than sweet!! A pounding write... am just off to the Mediterranean for a few weeks' vacation, so this will do nicely to go with - Thank you!! Kate xx
