Poem Artwork

She press'd his hand in slumber; so once more
He could not help but kiss her and adore.
~ John Keats

=VEIN THE EDGE=

Beyond the breath of dream's expanse
As twilight liberties enchant
When flawless in our naked reach
As whispers verse....desires speak

For in the land of such domains
Our freedoms live and passion reins
And by a scorching, tender kiss
We light the night with glowing bliss

Horizons thin....and all is one
As love infuses......moon with sun
Within the space of private spheres
We vein the edge of our frontiers

Anita,
You've certainly veined perfection here. You have the knack of making poetry a joy to read. You're definitely The Lady.

Hazy, gauzy - just damn beautiful, Anita! Within the veil, where we would all tread but where few have managed to actually pass through into this kind of reverential sanctuary and peace. It reminds me of the unspoken silence that exists just above the earth's atmosphere, an infinite stillness where words are just redundant - and even conscious thought! This speaks so powerfully of a mutual enjoyment of "just being" in togetherness. Awesome, thank you. Kate xx
