For My Drip ~ From Sweaty

Things base and vile, holding no quantity,
Love can transpose to form and dignity.
Love looks not with the eye, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.
~ by William Shakespeare ~

DEMON CHILD CUPID

Mischievous inclinations lie hidden neath those eyes
Shadowing our thoughts....to ambush by surprise
Innocent expression hides the conduct of his deeds
Wounding with his arrows....to fly off as we bleed

Champion of cherubs, marksmanship supreme
Dartboard of the human heart, shot with aim and speed
Piercing by the sharpest point, bulls eye hits the mark
Landing in our softest place...flaming arrows spark

Removal is impossible! Embedded deep within
Thunderbolts of passion...where rapture would begin
Fevered by infection......delirious in love
Temperatures sweat rising......over and above

Remedies are basic......commonplace.......and joint
Love and rest.....sweet tenderness...soothe the burning point
Kisses are elixir..........hugs........a ready fix
Demon child Cupid..........we love your for your tricks!

NEWS FLASH!!!

CUPID IS NOT DEAD!!! His arrow ricocheted off a hardended heart and got him in the back as he flew away, when he opened his eyes he fell in love with the first being he saw.

The happy couple is away at the moment, and cannot be reached for comment. The bride's identity is unknown at present.

(I had to add this aside because I know the picture is macabre)

Never a better word spoken - this dart flies true!! Shame that the poor little angel got in the way, though! One less on top of the Christmas tree this year! (Actually, I found it a bit disturbing, but that's just me I guess! I have my reservations about Anne Geddes...!!!!) LOL xxx Kate xx Hot flushes all round I think... and what's the pot-plant doing in the frig?!
