Do you not realize that the dance is the pure act of metamorphosis? ~Unknown

Dance Of The Broken Bones

Starlight spotlights ghouls and creeps
Waking from a grave yard sleep
Vanished tissue, worm gnawed skin
Eternal is the faceless grin

Midnight is the waking hour
Mischief spins it's darkest power
From the plot of six feet deep
Rested now, the ghoulish leap

Musicians drum what once was skinned
As music starts, the dance begins
They shake, they spin, they rattle roll
They jitterbug, they waltz and stroll

They loose a bone, or two or three
But they've not eyes or care or see
They decompose down to the bone
And sing along as banshee's moan

Incoming!

Come dance, come dance, lets mix our bones
Lets trip this cript, lets dig our home
I'll bone you good, if you bone me
No room for gloom in death's debris

Muuhaahaa

Musicians drum what once was skinned... LOVE THIS!! A grrrreat seasonal offering and yet stands in its own right as a "parallel" piece which intrigues, intoxicates and causes the gooey-grey matter to pulsate... Horror and fascination provide a heady brew here. But, as always, your fine-wine poetry for us to imbibe. Excellent!! K xx

They decompose down to the bone

Exactly what Beethoven did after he died! Heh, for some of us, we do this dance already - I have the one knee higher than the other knee to prove it. They did not call me Tinribs at school for nothing. I was used by the biology teacher as an anatomy chart.
Fun read Anita, had me dancing all the way back to my Tinrib days.

Now hear the word of the Lord.

Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones

Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones

Your knee bone connected to your thigh bone

Your thigh bone connected to your hip bone

Your hip bone connected to your back bone

Your back bone connected to your shoulder bone

Your shoulder bone connected to your neck bone

Your neck bone connected to your head bone

I hear the word of the Lord.

Them bones, them bones gonna walk around

Them bones, them bones gonna walk around

I hear the word of the Lord.

Disconnect them bones, them dry bones

Disconnect them bones, them dry bones

I love it! Shake, rattle and rolley bones...enough to make Elvis rise from the Graceland grave and sing the Monster Mash...and end it with a fading Muuhaahaa. Goulishly good, Anita!!

I invite you to come with me to a cemetry on a drak night, but without rain. I'd rather not catch a cold. It will be enough that I'd wake up next day all jitters. Ghoulishly lovely poem. Victor
