In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then
burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all
be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
~Albert Schweitzer

OVER THE MOON

Instinctive urges to protect
Brought out this inner architect
With years of piled blocks erect
My inner self I did neglect

These boundaries made me feel secure
I thought my blindness was the cure
If I don't think, I cannot feel
Indifference was my crest and seal

I was not pushed around, or choked
But I was trashed, my spirit broke
Put up with rages then neglect
That shamed me out of self respect

Things could be worse, my soul would cry
As years and chances passed me by
I chose this life, I made my bed
Went thru my days, as one half dead

But things have changed, they've rearranged
Since the day I heard you call my name
With you I soar, and so much more
I'm past my boundaries, and out the door

If not for you, I'd have no hope
I know the drill, and I can cope
But now I see things, thru your eyes
You make me laugh and yearn to fly

Now I've the warmth of endless love
A perfect match like hand and glove
You've lit the spark, with gentleness
A flame of warmth and soft caress

I doubt my words can ever say
To what heights my love grows each day
Past boundary walls, and crumbled ruins
I'll steal your phrase.............
I'M OVER THE MOON!!
