STORM
The drumbeat of two hearts, a rhythm prime evil
A tidal wave pounding, and bodies upheaval
Rising and shifting, and unbidden earthquake
A transient strike, causing passions to wake
A storm of such vigor, thrusting order away
A hypnotic chaos, an earthly melee
A gale wind at high speeds, the thrashing of limbs
Clouds obscure the heavens, and vision is dimmed
A tornado gyrating propriety away
Astray, no control, a barbaric, dolce
Yet
After the chaos, the waves and the wind
The pounding and thrashing, high tides seductions
The balm of a smile and kiss on the lips
Makes sailing this turbulence a voyage of bliss
And this journey is meant to be sailed with crew
More than a pair, is unneeded...just two
However the patterns of weathers sweet love
Just a shipmate and caption our crew is made of
The rocking and rolling of our own private storm
A gentle breeze blows now, the air moist and warm
Lips capping lips and the rise of the tide
Arms and hearts twisting a carnal ark ride
We mimic the motions of turbulent oceans
And all in the name of our lust and devotion
Then drift so tranquilly off into the night
And hold unto each other till mornings day light
Breathtaking, Anita! And the word play in the opening line was an unexpected treat for my tired poet's eyes.

uhhm speechlessly wow okay i think i realy need to improve in romance to ever rech the excellence that shines in the brilliance of your genius of a poem awesome job on this
Anita, this is one of the best storm/love making similies I have ever read. I've done a few myself nowhere near this perfection. the rhythm makes this perfect, and I never use that word,lightly;-)!

I can read this one over and over. The rhythem is so strong that I can hear the drum beating as I read it.
