One candle in the window
With a flame that never fades,
Remains a lasting fixture
For the sacrifice you made.

Your dedication always brilliant
And your smile so full of light,
The paths you chose, ever resilient
Towards the future, bold and bright.

You walked this world with love so modest
On the force, you defined good,
You gave with might, while being honest
As only someone like you could.

You gave your life to save another
Now, your soul shall rest in peace,
Though, your flame will shine forever
Flying high on clouds of fleece.

One candle in my window
Shall live on, in memory,
As a never-ending fixture
Of the soul you chose to be.

For you were not just a fireman
Or a stranger in a crowd,
But a pillar of such courage
One whose life was glory bound.

So, rest well, humble lieutenant
We’ll think of you when duty calls;
Your strength will guide us forward,
You'll be with us through it all.

In a flame to burn forever
For the hero we grieve still,
Through memories that shall not ever
Fade from my windowsill.
