Poem Artwork

I long to see your face once more
I yearn to hear your sigh
But from this side of Heaven’s Door
I’ll stand idly by
And wait until the angels deem
That parted days are through
To rise upon golden sunbeams
And be again with you.

I long to see your smile so bright
I yearn to touch your hand
But here beneath the rich moonlight
I’ll live my life as planned
And strive to make each day the best
That my two eyes can see
Until the day that I am blessed
Once more with you near me.

I long to see your newfound home
I yearn to feel the sky
But here upon the earth I’ll roam
Until my time to fly
Then, at long last, I’ll finally be
Part of a dream come true
As angels near to carry me
Once more to be with you.
