Poem Artwork

If you could be remembered
Come the end of earthen days
Would you find your dreams dismembered
Or the light to guide your way?
Would you live to rise in glory
Or fall victim to harsh fate
With no one to tell the story
When your feelings came too late?

Would you stride into the darkness
With no worries or regrets
Or be bound within the starkness
By the things one ne’er forgets?
Would you prey on your survival
Holding back what you could share
Or step down to face a rival
Just to show them that you care?

Would you rest upon the shoreline
Dwelling on your time alone
Or give love to ever enshrine
Upon those that you have known
Would you view your life as absurd
Or demand to brag and boast
If you could be remembered
What would you bear in mind most?

Wonderful poem, Jill! It gets one to look herself in the mirror and soul search. Important question to ponder on. Very inspirational.

God bless,

Sandie.

If I could be remembered, I hope people read my stories. I want my words to make a difference, especially to those people who do not know what it is like to be disabled or know people who are. Excellent, excellent write, Jill! Merry Christmas to you and yours; and thanks for the beautiful Christmas card you sent! That was very sweet of you!

(((HUGS))) and muich love, your friend in Burleson, Karen Lynn. :D

Truly a question to ponder, Jill. And Happy Holidays to you and yours, too.
