Every time we need a shoulder
Or a heart that understands
We shall find ourselves much bolder
When we place trust in the hands
Of the friend we’ll always treasure
Whose spirit, soft and wise
Brings a sense of blissful pleasure
To our oft weary eyes.
As the morning light awakens
We are blessed to see his grin
In the photographs we’ve taken
And the joy we find within
While we’re sometimes bound by distance
His love knows not of the miles
For it lives in our existence
And is seen each time we smile.
Whenever the evening’s moonlight
Stretches ‘cross the sea of green
We are grateful for the delight
In the moments we have seen
With the friend whose love shall never
Be viewed as too keen or mild
Only as a bond forever
Forged between father and child.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Burleson, Karen Lynn. :D
With my father in poor, albeit improving, health, this holds more meaning than ever before. Thank you--this is special! Keeping this, and may I send a copy to him? I think it would make his day. Well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Take care,
