From dawn until the twilight
We are given the chance
To offer hope and delight
In spite of the circumstance
If we volunteer our labor
Whenever we find a need
We can assist our neighbors
Through our actions and deeds.
There are no preset orders
For the aid we provide
To those faced with disorders
Lacking someone on their side
We can make a distinction
In the midst of atrocity
Forcing pain to its extinction
Through our faith and generosity.

Eveyone shouldn't have to read this. In WV , I mowed my 94 yr old neighbor's .25 acre lawn. It took the whole weekend to mow my half acre and his. I made him a deal: He paid for the gas, I mowed. Other neighbors marveled at how a paralyzed guy could lower a mower on a cord to get the steep slopes. Best feeling ever.
