Should the rain fall on the willows
When the morning light appears
I will be the cloud that billows
To cover your doubts and fears
So that you may find composure
As you journey through the storm
Ever bound by the enclosure
Of my wings to keep you warm.

Should you rise without a rainbow
Perched to cast your dreams upon
I will set your spirit aglow
With a grand sunrise at dawn
So that you may see the splendor
Destined in the day ahead –
The images, so sweet and tender
Far removed from angst and dread.

Should the rain fall from ceiling
When the morning hour arrives
I will be a light, revealing
All the dreams for which you strive
You have brought my heart elation
Something I cannot ignore
You’re my friend, my inspiration
And the one that I adore.
