You amaze me with your candor
And your mesmerizing style
You are a true commander
Of all things that are worthwhile
You are quite unpretentious
You are open; you are sweet
And to all, there is consensus
That you never saw defeat.

You are such a gallant fighter
With a heart, peaceful and kind
And the racing world is brighter
For the gifts you leave behind
You brought hope for each tomorrow
Through your poise and through your grace
Which shall live beyond the sorrow
That befell your final race.

When I think about your mission
I will not recall the end
I’ll remember your ambition
And how you came to transcend
As one of the greatest warriors
To have sought the Triple Crown
God bless you, mighty Barbaro
You are the best around!
