A twinkling glow stretched ‘cross the sky
Last night, within my dream
And yet, I did not sense goodbye
Amid that bright moonbeam
Instead, I found my heart at peace
Certain that you were well
Floating upon white clouds of fleece
Where angels choose to dwell.

I thought about the day we met
And burdens that we bore
Your strength I shall never forget
As you take flight and soar
Across the heavens, bright and blue
With wings tipped in pure gold
You were the kindest soul I knew –
A blessing to behold.

I’ll always hold the time we shared
And all of our crusades
Within my heart, ever ensnared
Until the daylight fades.
