You shine a light into my heart
When days are much to bear
Across the miles we are apart
To show how much you care
You prove I will, in fact, prevail
Beyond what life bestows
And bring me strength when I am frail
In ways you’ll never know.

You make me laugh; you make me smile
You make me understand
Each rocky road, after awhile
Leads to the dreams we planned
You lend your shoulder when I need
To let the teardrops flow
You are a friend; a friend indeed
In ways you’ll never know.

You bring me hope to face the days
When hours seem too long
Your love is in my soul always
Your guidance keeps me strong
My life shall be forever still
Removed from angst and woe
Thanks to the void you help to fill
In ways you’ll never know.
