Rest softly now, my angel love
On billowed clouds of white
Look downward from the stars above
Upon the world, tonight
While knowing that within my heart
Your strength shall always be
For though we are now worlds apart
You’re still the life in me.

Rest softly now, my angel dear
As moonbeams cross the blue
Your spirit shall be ever near
Each time I think of you
As I continue on the course
To bring me Home once more
Your love shall be the guiding force
Leading to Heaven’s Door.

Rest softly now, my angel love
Atop God’s Golden Stairs
Look downward from the stars above
And know nothing compares
To all the love you freely gave
In this life, ‘til the end
Your heart shall live beyond the grave
Rest softly now, my friend.
